The Expo is an annual careers, training and skills event designed to connect job seekers, students, graduates, career changers and anyone interested in employment pathways with local employers, community organisations or training providers.

Event Description

The Expo is a careers, training and skills event designed to connect job seekers, students, graduates, career changers and anyone interested in employment pathways with local employers, community organisations or training providers.

With over 100+ exhibitors from Ballarat and surrounding regions showcasing opportunities in employment, apprenticeships, traineeships, volunteering and training. Exhibitors have included groups such as Accenture, Australian Defence Force Careers, Ballarat City Council, BGT Jobs & Training Ballarat, Ballarat Community Health, Barkly Hair Institute, Federation University, Headspace, Highlands LLen, Lateral Plains, Skylar...

Attendees are able to participate in interactive workshops, seminars, career advice sessions, discover new skills and networking opportunities. The 2025 event included a special feature - Skills demonstrations showcasing trades and hands-on activities.

The Expo attracts around 1,500-2,000 visitors annually and is free to attend.

For example, if your event takes place at a school but you're open to having a Role Model join remotely (e.g. via Zoom or Teams), you can select both Virtual and In-Person. This helps potential Role Models understand how they can participate and whether physical attendance is expected.
