About LinkUp Careers
LinkUp Careers is a national digital platform dedicated to connecting students, educators, training organisations, not-for-profit community initiatives, and industry professionals — all with one goal: to make career pathways into construction, manufacturing, energy, and other non-traditional industries more visible, inclusive, and achievable for every young person.
Our Story
Founded by Polly Britten, an education and workforce development researcher and Churchill Fellow, LinkUp Careers is built on years of frontline insight into the barriers that prevent students — particularly girls and underrepresented youth — from considering or accessing skilled careers in Australia's essential industries.
A Personal Mission
Polly’s personal mission is grounded not just in policy and practice, but in family. With five nieces growing up in a world still shaped by outdated stereotypes, she became determined to shift the narrative — to ensure every young person, regardless of gender or background, can see themselves in a high-value, high-impact career.
What We Do
Through a user-friendly, purpose-driven platform, LinkUp Careers:
- Showcases real career stories and relatable industry Role Models
- Connects schools with Role Models and community organisations
- Aligns with national and state curriculum to support classroom learning
- Bridges the gap between education and employment with tools that are practical, inclusive, and inspiring
About Our Purpose Careers
At its heart, LinkUp Careers is about opening doors — and keeping them open — so that future tradies, technicians, engineers, and innovators have the confidence and connections to thrive.
